
Julieta holds a Medical Doctor degree and degree in Clinical Epidemiology from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia, and a master’s degree in Health Policy, Planning & Financing from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the London School of Economics and Political Science.
She provides technical leadership on research, analysis, policy evaluation and recommendations in support of enhancing health policies that use evidence, increase access to health and promote value in health. Experienced project manager that has worked on projects focused on both communicable and non-communicable diseases, and macro health issues including maternal, newborn and child health, digital health, universal health coverage, healthy ageing, health system strengthening, value-based healthcare, health technology assessment, health equity and sustainable healthcare systems.
Julieta has experience with global public health and healthcare policy issues and has supported policy shaping efforts particularly in Latin America and the Caribbean, while providing insight and counsel to the conceptualization and implementation of projects in Europe, Africa, and Asia. She has led teams in development of strategic projects such as situation analyses, engagement plans, stakeholder mappings, and tactical projects such advocacy tool kits, consensus statements, dissemination/communication plans, policy advisory boards, policy training, workshop facilitation, among others.
As a health policy and public health consultant, Julieta has facilitated over 40 workshop group sessions (both virtual and face-to-face) with diverse stakeholders, including patient advocacy groups and patient representatives, academics, key opinion leaders, pharmaceutical companies, policy makers, among others. She has ample experience supporting the strategic and effective engagement of key decision-makers, influencers, and key groups through the development of engagement roadmaps, and has actively developed numerous dissemination strategies to communicate evidence-based information and key messages to different types of audiences via identified channels and strategies.
