Maru is a global health consultant with over 20 years of experience and expertise in public health policy and a scientific background.
She co-founded The Round Group to help address health access inequalities and to support women and minority empowerment and professional opportunities.
Maru leads Policy & Stakeholder Partnerships, developing engagement strategies for clients like WHO/EURO and the CDC Foundation.
She is a UNICEF Roster of Experts member and contributes to the U.S. Pharmacopeia’s DEIB Expert Panel.
With experience in diverse projects and leadership roles, Maru focuses on health system enhancement, equity, and cross-sector collaborations.
Maru holds an M.P.H. in global health policy from The George Washington University and a B.Sc. in Physiology and Neurobiology from the University of Maryland.
